COVID-19 PROTOCOL

The safety of our patients, staff and community is of utmost importance to us as we resume patient care at our practice.  To create the safest environment possible for everyone, we have created a new set of protocols. We would like to inform you of the following changes and protocols that you will encounter at our offices. 

REMOTE (CONTACT-LESS) CHECK-IN:

We are now using a remote check-in process.  This will allow for a completely contact-less experience. No more pen and paper! Prior to your visit, our staff will send you our digital intake forms via email or text message. Please complete the entire digital intake process, including uploading pictures of your insurance cards and ID, prior to arriving at the office for your visit.  During the confirmation of your appointment, our staff will be requiring that you provide a credit card to leave on file with our office. This will allow us to process your transactions without needing to physically swipe any cards in the office.

If you have not completed your intake forms, upon arrival we will request that you complete them while waiting in your car. Our staff can email or text the intake forms right to your phone.  We will call or text you when we are ready for you to enter.

YOU MUST WEAR A FACE MASK TO ENTER THE OFFICE: 

For the entirety of your visit, we will be requiring you to wear a face covering.  Our staff will do the same.

ONLY BRING YOURSELF:

Please leave any company with you in the car.  Patients under 18 years old must be accompanied by ONE parent or guardian.  If you MUST bring anyone inside, please be sure they are also wearing a face mask covering their nose and mouth and that they keep more than 6 feet from anyone else.  

WHEN YOU ENTER THE OFFICE:

Please wait at the greeting sign before you approach the front desk. Use the hand sanitizer that is provided for you to wash your hands.  We will take your temperature with a touchless device to ensure it is not elevated.  If we measure an elevated temperature (100 degrees F or higher), we will have to ask that you postpone your visit for at least 2 weeks.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY MEASURES

DECREASED NUMBER OF PATIENT ENCOUNTERS PER DAY

We have decreased the number of patients we are scheduling for appointments in our offices every day.  This will enable us to have ample time to disinfect all surfaces as thoroughly as possible in between patients.  It will also allow for maximum social distancing in the office.

HEPA AIR FILTRATION

We have installed medical grade HEPA air purification units in all of our enclosed rooms.  This will allow for the cleanest air possible in our exam rooms 

HEALTH SCREENING OF ALL STAFF MEMBERS DAILY

SLIT LAMP SNEEZE GUARDS

Protective shield between the doctor and patient to prevent for exchange of germs during eye health portion of the examination
